My brother is on the market for a quad and we went to check out a Suzuki R450  and here is what I saw:
It had a brand new G-Force Adjustable Width Racing Axle extended to +5 in. which I liked. Then I looked at it a little closer and noticed that it was a little wider than a +5in. Further inspection I saw a set of G-Force Extended Rear Hubs adding another 3.5 inches ??? and bolted to that I saw a set of G-Force wheel spacers adding another 3.5inches to it , but nothing on the front.
So here I am staring in amazement :jaw: at this R450 the is 6 inches wider on each side, thinking why would anyone do this, so I asked why is it so wide like I didn't know anything. The owner said the the quad is very stable in drags. :slap: He also said that do to weak Suzuki bearings he replaces then very often. :bash: So he goes on to say that it handles great on the track, the motor is stock but it can keep up with the 700R and 700XX in any type of race :loser: :bs:. That when I called it quit and left!!
What is it with these kids?!? This is the second quad we have looked at it and the owner is a total moron!! First it was the guy with the "custom" intake with 3 outerwear prefilters :wtf:and now this duche bag :fruity: with the G-Force sponsored bike!!
that makes no sense, at all.
some people just shouldnt be allowed to ride.
Let him slide and hit a rock in the desert that thing will pitch him like 3 wheeler.Plus 2 on each side in the rear is perfect. And we have found plus one in the front on each side works great with the plus 2 rear.
Outside of ice racing or flat tracking, that is useless.
LTR's Stock come wide as heck already, I believe is 50" If not, it's DANG close. My friend had one, and he added wheel spacers to it to give it a +6 total front and rear.... I dont' understand why you'd need it that wide. he had problems rididng ditches w/ us due to being to wide for most trails.

Yep, dirt wheels did a build on it for trails, had to use smaller offset wheels to shrink it.

Yep that is a problem for Quads in a lot of riding areas. Mexico is full of roads and trails that you can not stay out of the ruts on one side or the other.
That's WAY too wide.
Like Randy said, the Suzuki is wide straight out of the box. I think it's the widest in it's class.

Now add +5 axle, +3.5 hubs, and +3.5 spacers.
thats a 61" wide Zuk!! And remember, nothing done on the front!!
I like the stance of the Suzuki out of the box. It's a stable bike. That extra width makes them handle really well.
I'm just glad Yamaha FINALLY came out with fuel injection on the 450.
