Haha, can you say neon srt? However, gm is no slouch at making useless cars more useless as well... Cobalt SS wtf is that? And rebadging junk and selling it as a diffferent car...  Monte Carlo, Grand Prix, Lesabre, all the same rolling boxes o' crap!   But...ford wins the race here. Explorer, Mountaineer, didn't even change a body panel except for the front 2 inches of hood, and sold it...and people bought it...at a premium. WTF!

Unfortunately, the big three went for a nostalgic George Bush-esque (stay the course) approach where a progressive, new way of thinking might have made better headlines than we are seeing right now. Hope they learned.... ;)  Modeling these cars after Muscle Cars is a great idea on paper. Poorly executed by all three companies. Original theme: Cheap and good. New models: Expensive and Bad.

I will take this twin turbo S.O.B. though!

here is the car it came out of.  its a coronet R/T.  the car was incredible back in the day, there was no way you could turn the cornder without the tires squeeling.  the engine was rebuilt 18 years ago by the guy who originally sold it too my dad for the sum of 3000$, and it hasn't seen a car since.  sad story, cuz i have a 454 for my 69 GTO, and it has been sitting for 5 years :'(

I'm sure he's refering to the engine's efficiency and the ability to control the power. Without some sort of traction control, a supercharged eight cylinder or ten cylinder is useless.

You can buy SRT-10 trucks dirt cheap......We see them run through the auction in the low to mid 20's with less than 15,000 miles on the clock.

But...new? over 40k for a 2wd truck is absolutely ridiculous! ANd what a resale depreciation...OMFG! A normal vehicle depreciation is enough to stop your heart, let alone a b.s. special edition. :help:

Curb weight on the quad cab Srt-10 truck : 5450 lbs.

Regular cab is 5150 lbs.

gotcha. thought you were talking about the viper. the truck is kinda useless, but it still nuts how fast a truck like that is. 900hp blown, that would be cool but i havent seen a 8.2 srt10 getting over 700hp blown, theres a few with 800 but if you want 900 its time for tt's

The latest Dodge Truck is by far the best I've ever driven. 5 link rear suspension and new big bolstered seats. Very comfortable.

Hot off the press......

Employee pricing comes back on Monday January 26th all 2008 and 2009 Dodge, Chrysler, and Jeep products.

You heard it here first!

As a Dodge employee, I can get $24-25000 off of a new Viper now.

Special incentive for employees only.

Employee price is almost $5,000 back of invoice, and now they have $20,000 rebate for Dodge employees or dealership staff.

You could buy a $90,000 Viper for around $65,000 with the discount.

I told my wife I would buy one if the economy was better. I would turn around and curb it and make $15,000 by selling it for less than a dealer could sell it for.

herd it on vca first  :P
sounds cool except it doesnt apply to srt vehicles

As a Dodge employee, I can get $24-25000 off of a new Viper now.

Special incentive for employees only.

Employee price is almost $5,000 back of invoice, and now they have $20,000 rebate for Dodge employees or dealership staff.

You could buy a $90,000 Viper for around $65,000 with the discount.

I told my wife I would buy one if the economy was better. I would turn around and curb it and make $15,000 by selling it for less than a dealer could sell it for.

lol, im doing the one that is most necessary.  the 64 is the next on my list i think, the orang car in front of the 64 is a 69gto, and i already have the drivetrain sitting, and waiting to go in, but i want to do the car right and its gonna take a crap load of time and about 20k more money.  i also have an rx7 with a twin turbod 13b engine that really need to get done so it doesnt occupy my attatched garage any more.  lol i have soo many projects and hobbies   ??? :help:
