Title: Tires
Post by: BoisBlancBoy on May 20, 2008, 05:18:38 PM
I just bought some Maxxis Razrs 20x11-9, which are to replace my old stocker Dunlop 20x10-9.  I havent yet had them mounted but I know that I am going to wear the new tires out quickly.  I didnt realize the rubber was so soft and most of my riding tends to be on gravely surfaces.

What tires would you guys recommend next?  I dont want a taller tire, but wider is alright and I do like the flat profile and something that has excellent overall grip for any terrain. Thanks guys.

you may wanna go with holeshots, i know one of the two (holeshot and razr) has good grip and the other lasts a bit longer but i cant remember which is which...

Razr's have better grip because they are a softer tire.(depending on what your riding on) Holeshots last longer because there heavier and thicker.

My experience has been the opposite.  My Razrs held up longer, my HS burned off quick.

Are there any other tires that you guys would recommend?  Just curious really.  I probably will go with Holeshots next just to give them a try.

What are good tires for sandy trails and stuff, other than paddles?

My refrence was to regular RAZRs and basic HSs only.

I love my HS GNCCs, and they'd work well for the terrain your describing.

??? Well I also experienced this on my trailblazer and my scrambler. Those things never wearied but then again I didn't ride much.

What are your thoughts on the ITP Dune Star?

Also what is the thickness for the stock rims on a 350.  I want to get the package tire and rims but I dont know what thickness of rim to get and I dont want to get something heavier than I need.

Anyone got any good or bad to say about the ITP Sand star and Dune stars?  Or anything else for that matter?
