HMF slip on. Great way to make some power on a budget. They work well on the 700 as well.

Welcome to the site mano!

You can't go wrong w/ the Yoshi pipe. It's one of the greater performers on the market for a single pipe. Do you have their full exhaust or just the slip on?
How about intake? If you really want to take advantage of a full pipe set up I highly recommend a good intake setup like the pro-design

I Just got a DG R.A.C.E. exhaust today and it sounds great! I don't have any fuel adjustment computer yet and don't have the $$ either  :(.

P.S. Am I going to hurt my quad running it with a slip-on and K&N filter with no Fuel Controller?

you will be running pretty lean with that set up but you should be ok for awhile. i wouldn't run it forever like that. if you can get a fuel controler ASAP.

I wish they made it so you could adjust it by hand like a carb. Oh well, life isn't fair.

How does the yoshi pipe perform? Is it pretty loud?

you will be lean so take it easy. Get that fuel controller so you don't kill the motor.

I looked at these fuel controllers and DAMN!!!! It would be cheaper to take out the EFI and put a carb in.

They are expensive, but they offer awesome adjustability... At least my PCIII does....  It has really made a big difference for me...

Rejetting or remapping will be necessary...you will be running waaay lean after sasquatch rape bore.

Really, PCIII is cheap when you consider the alternative.

But....if you really like the carbs, I have a 660 to trade for your 700.

I just ordered my Barker Duals, FCI intake and PC3.  Hope to get in soon!! Any recommendations on what map to run?!?
Title: Re: tailpipe
Post by: cowtownup on December 27, 2008, 11:26:11 AM
You picked the best of everything...   Good job...  I got everything you did but wimped out when it came to the intake and just got a pro design....  I wish I would have went ahead and spent the bucks on the FCI....

The PCIII is a tricky thing in trying to decide what map to run.... Unless you have a dyno or you are a good plug reader, you will end up relying on someone else's map... Which is fine, because people on this website have good maps and will get you real close....

Maybe someone with more PCIII experience can advise us both on maps...

Is it better to just run the same map once you find one that runs good or should you keep trying to mess with it?
