Hey,
How has that paint held up? Like woods ect? or do you try and watch what you're doing?
i dont make my own trails but other than that it has been cool. Ask "juice" from the other forum how i ride it and all the crap we went through when he drove 6hrs to ride with us. We got so freaking muddy all day long. It had been raining for 3or so days and rained all that day we rode. It was horrible but i still gave it hell. No scratches on mine. I didnt use the primer on mine that we used on this last one of dans. (black cat) this stuff is the real deal IMO. when i redo mine it will be with that. I have had no issue with the bumper cladding that i used on mine but we have used primer before that hasnt worked too great. Black cats is the way to go.. may cost a few extra bucks but well worth it.
I love the paint...Looks like it's still wet.
Awesome.

Well, it was baught as an SE. The orange and black one. Thrashed my first set of plastics, glue them back together and rhino lined them lol. Didn't like it so I baught the plastics again, the black and orange ones... set me back a pretty penny and then my propane heater was forgotten on in my garage and it caught something on fire and burned my plastics. SOOO I didn't feel like spending all that money again on original plastics so I just baught the white plastics from Yamaha of Troy and WEEKS later I got them, and that's why I have orange A-Arms.
^^A novel by Yamahauler lol

My buddy that mounted them realized they were directional.
They have about 2 hours on them. My stock tires could be used for slicks though.
I have already went through a set of haulers. My Rappy has quite a few hours on it.

And I thought my sub-frame was jacked!!! WTF happened ???
holy jeebus JWraptor! How did you do that one? Only looks like it landed it's back end. Hope you are OK.
We were drag racing at a local county fair and there wasn't enough shut down for me to get stopped. I honestly don't know what exactly happened except what people told me. I geuss I ended up endoing the bike, hit a big straw bale and the raptor landed on top of me. My wrist is all swelled up but supposedly ok, I broke both of my bones in my left wrist, my left shoulder dislocated, my left collarbone detached from my shoulder (almost poked through the skin) and the normal scrapes and bruises.

I know, I know, it's usually the 1st purchase I make. I've only had the raptor for about maybe a month and I have bought some. I'm just waiting on Motosport to send them.
When I buy another quad it will have nerf bars right away, I didn't have any for over a year. I'm just lucky I didn't ride over my foot

Believe when I say it sucks without 'em I mean it sucks. I feel like Im riding naked. I havent really jumped much because of it and it sucks when I get a cramp and cant stretch out and relax. I went full nerfs this time with fatpegs. I'll through up a pic as soon as they get here and I get em bolted up.

This makes me wanna get rid of the 660 more and more....Beautiful bike Mano
Yeah I have tons of pics. I wish I could say I did the work but it was built in Oregon. Some of you know the previous owner. I will post it in the For Sale section with more pics. :)
And we want rail pics as soon as you get them.
That will not be a problem. Gotta sell some stuff first. Don't want a rail payment more than my house payment. LOL
Got it. Pick out a brand yet?
Many we are gonna buy used cause there are some good deals out there right now. It all depends on what is available when we sell some stuff. I have a lot I am keeping my eye on though. ;)
A few recent pics.

We will s ay that it was a nytro... ???last weekend i went out and hit something frozen in the lake and flipped it about 6 times. Now its just a pile of metal, I dont know how i made it out unscaved but i was lucky. Now i dont know if i want to buy another sled or a Raptor or maybe a street bike. Either way thank good for full coverage, or i would have been outta 9k!

Here is my raptor after the off season rebuild.
New stem, a-arms, spindles, swinger, wheelie bar, fresh engine rebuild, battery relocate, and a few other small tricks.
Couple more pics
Awesome bike man!!!
What are the advantages of having such a narrow rear end?
Mostly, if you carry the front end a long way and the roll out is a quarter inch off, it will not pull right or left as bad. It will track straighter.
Sexy machine Trent. +1 on your narrow rear explanation. Mine went all over the place in the sand when accelerating hard.
I think some climbers use a narrower than stock set-up for extreme sand climbs too. It leets the quad sit on top of instead of in a rut in the tree shoot.
Awesome looking Trent!!! are those A-arms moved forward +2?
They are +2 forward and -2 narrower.
There are more reasons for the narrow rear end. I just stated the most obvious.
It also takes less hp to turn the tires when they are narrow. The wider tires are like a gyro, just takes a little more hp to turn them.
Also as stated above it gets your rear tires out of the ruts and into alot cleaner sand.
On a side note, it is not quite as stable as the wider rear end.
Mine is adjustable and when I race on the dunes I spread the rear end out about 8 inches.
Way sweet. Sexy lookin machine for sure! Looks like a solid runner!
Is that the DirectDrive clutch? I didnt know they had a blue window :)
It is indeed a direct drive. It isnt that old and already has a small oil leak. Im not all about polishing and makin pretty, but it does tend to tick me off to spend that much money and see a oil spot under my raptor.
here is my 06 700r

Agreed. Like they look like when they are sitting in your garage ready to be ridden. Not all cleaned up ready for a photo session :D
I keep my stuff clean but after almost three years of riding them am proud to say it's impossible to keep them looking new. Here's how they usually look after a ride.
No shame in keeping a clean quad :)

Haven't been online in a while. I can add a few pics if we do some river riding. Not sure what the river situation is right now.
Myself and Nick are trying to get somethin planned for next month some time to meet up @ my parents place and hit the river for a bit. I know it's a long drive for you, but you're more than welcome. :)
1 hour north of St. Paul.

nice and clean...lookin good!
Very nicely done...one of the best white quads I've seen to date, even with the stock tires
looks great man!!!
If you're feeling saucy. You could get a few extra ponies by upgrading to the new DMCs :)
If you are referring to the Force 4's, I researched it before I bought the Afterburners. The Guys at DMC didn't recommend the Force 4's unless I cammed it, ported the head, and had a big bore. Butttttt they do look sweeter than the Afterburners.
I am going to keep the motor stock on this one........It is as modified as I'm going to go.
Yeah it would have ran just fine without the stuff they said
Long as you're happy that's what counts  I have Barker duals and had them before I went cam, stroker, ported head etc and it ran great on a stock motor. Although the Afterburners DO have a touch more low end than the Force 4s cause of the collector design.
Just bought mine for Christmas 2010
This is the only pic I have so far, I only have about an hour of ride time. This is also my first quad!
If your gonna do it, do it right! right?

B&N...not that I'm aware of Bert.
nope fairly certain they arent. the website they ran is no longer up.. Last I had heard I think it was brandon, had opened up a chain fitness somethin or other. lookin for some airbrushing?
Yeah the White Rappy could use some color. I know a guy in Ga that could dip my plastics....forget what the process is called but its the same process OEM's use when they color plastics whether its camo or solid color. A Mr Clean Magic Eraser does a super job cleaning my plastics so they look new minus the scratches but some color would be good.
gotcha, If it was somethin little, my bro is looking for some more air brush projects :) (helmets etc.)

He hasn't done any yet.. But he's done guitars, cars, helmets, motor cycle tanks/fenders.
so I'm sure he'd be up for it.
