What do you guys think about the GYTR exhaust system??
It would be combined with:
FCI Intake
Power Programmer
Dynojet Ignition Module
Would this set-up make a difference???
it would make a pretty good difference you would be very pleased with it. but most guys on here will go ahead and tell ya to get a set of duals.
I had the gytr full system and I loved it........but if there is a .00000000000000000000000000000000001% chance that you'll go into the engine someday I would say to go with the duals.
The only reason I am thinking about the GYTR exhaust is due to noise levels. The place clsoe to me, Hollister Hills, is a P.I.T.A. and really @n@l when it come to noise levels. Recently a friend got cited for having the exhaust at 99 db. I want some performance and still be able to ride at the more strict places.
The gytr without the quite core is LOUD. My barkers seem quieter.

One of the reasons I went with duals is because they are quieter than most singles. Barkers with quiet cores are not obnoxious at all.
As far as the GYTR exhaust, I've read good things about them. I've heard the performance tip....LOUD!! From what I've read, the quiet tip is supposed to put you around 96db.
I was thinking about the GYTR since all I need to do to ride at Hollister is swap tips!! Is the barkers the same way or how do they use the quiet core??
QC for barkers fit right underneath the end caps (Three allen head blots)
Decisions, decisions, decisions!!!!!!! :'( :'( :'(
Ya just have to narrow it down.
How much do you want to spend?
What noise level are you looking for?
Will you ever do anything inside the engine?
Are you looking for an exhaust with the most power gains?
Answering these types of questions should help you narrow down your options.

These are easy:
How much do I want to spend? Don't really matter as long as I get what I want!!
Noise level? This is where I am having issues. There are a few places around where I live to ride, they are all a pain in the @$$ when it come to noise. All have to be under 98db!!
Engine work? I don't think so. I should be happy with the Power Commander, Igniton Mod, Intake, and Exhaust. I won't be doing any racing, may be a few at Pismo Beach but thats just straight line, nothing big.
Exhaust with the most power gains? Yeah. Don't just want to go with the bling factor. A little more power would be nice!!
I have pretty much narrowed things down:
Monster Duals
Barker Duals
GYTR
Stock with Phoenix SA
all of the above with be combined with Power Commander, Ignition Mod, and FCI Intake.
So I just have to decide based on :
#1 Noise Level
#2 Power Gains
#3 Appearance
Either barkers w/QC or GYTR w/quiet tip will get you below 98db. More power will be gained with the duals, especially if you ever do engine upgrades. But the GYTR will also give you some good gains.
I run the Barkers with QC and have never been check for sound I ride at Pismo plus Oregon dunes. Most of the time I pull the QC out and just grab an extra gear when I see the Rangers... :grin_nod: But I also have them with me at the truck and say I thought I put them in!! ??? Oh, no I better go do that right now....... :grin_nod:
I guess Barkers it is!!!!
Smart move. Then you are safe if you ever decide to go into the engine.

You won't be disappointed
And I'll get that SA out to you as soon as my neighbor gets back from vacation. (It's in his garage)

Very good choice....
and the duals look freakin pimp!
I had sent an email to Tim Barker re: the db level for the Duals with the QC installed.
Got a reply and per Tim they should be no louder than 95db!!

No rush. I just wanted to make sure none of my mail got stolen again!!!
I ahve the GYTR system and love it. It sounds great, but it is loud, it comes in at 102 db without the quiet tip, so your gonna need to get that i guess. If your interested in the sound i have some videos on my youtube page (see sig).
Had mine tested, Involuntarily lol, and came out at 102db. I think duals are quieter and have more power.
Not trying to whore this thread up by any means, but have you rode your raptor yet zx10r203? I definitely understand that modding is an obsession and not a need, but have you realized just how powerful that thing is gonna be just 3 modded?
I have a GYTR system & recently bought the Quiet Tip, what a difference in sound. The QT should keep neighbors happy... Kenny from KDS sugggested adding a sound baffle made from an old steel speaker grill. Haven't tried it but I like the idea.

Not yet, work has been  hell!!
I am looking at mostly the big 3:
Exhaust: Something not too loud due to noise restrictions where I would ride.
Intake: FCI
Power Commander and the Ignition Mod
I got interested in the GYTR system since you can swap the end cap and have it quiet, but I have like the dual Barkers since day 1. Now that I know that the Barkers are quiet also and can still be use with more mods in the future if I decide I need them, I won't need to buy another system.
I rode my cousins 2007 GYTR Edition with a Yoshimura System, Power Commander and Pro Design Intake and was blown away. So from that I am guessing I won't really be going into the engine!!

I just thought I would leave it stock. ya right. Im looking at taking it to rocket factory in nv and getting motor work done. once u start you can't stop. :grin_nod: :grin_nod: :grin_nod:
I say the same thing after every mod. Wow what a difference!!! I won't need to do any more mods. Then about two weekends later I start think, What should I do next?
Don't forget handling mods, all the speed in the world is no good unless you can hook up ???

Very well put
Got to love sand! Just turn shocks toward soft, throw haulers on, and haul ass!
Stick with monsters or barkers and go with duals
