Do any of you ever go to Idaho or Utah to ride?
might be going to utah with russ (grand Junction, co) in October
Where you headed?
Little Sahara here's the thread http://www.raptorsource.com/forum/index.php?topic=840.0
I go to both Utah and Idaho as often as I can. What part of the state are you in?
Northern, just west of Ogden. I try get to St Anthony at least four times a year, LS at least once a month. For trail riding I like to go to place called Cub River, it's just across the Idaho boarder near Preston. You can ride to Bear lake, pretty fun through the forest.
An October ride at LS will be great temp wise.
What kind of accomodations are you planning on using when you come? I have a forty foot fiver, possibly put up a few folks in the garage area (queen bed and a couple big cots)
I have a 21' toyhauler. Not the most luxurious, but it gets the job done. Would like to step up to a 28-32' fiver, but just can't justify the expense right now.
I am usually here in CO at Walden (little tiny place) or Killpecker in Rock Springs, Wyoming.
I will be at St Anthony Sept 1-6th and will be my first time there. Have broken 3 tents (one REALLY good one with 1" poles) so planning on renting a house a couple miles from BLM campground. Was at LS for my first time last Memorial.
I just found out about the dunes near Rock springs, I am going to have to give them a try. Would,'t be any farther than St Anthony for me.
Man, are any of you colorado guys mountain riders?
SPOILED, JUST SPOILED!!!!
Nebraskins would KILL for a hill, let alone a mountain

Yeah they are pretty fun! Dangerous because of razors, witches eyes (mainly in September) and exposed natural gas lines in spots. I don't know how to compare the two places but St Anthony is probably better of course. It would take you about 3 hours from your house to the parking lot of KP. It sucks though because its 28 miles of dirt road to get there, mainly if you are pulling a big toy hauler.

I USED to ride on 5 acres in IL but you have to drive an hour here in CO to go ride anywhere in the mountains but they are closed 9 months out of the year because of snow and there is a place in the Pawnee Grasslands to ride but it is only open from November to April. I can ride Walden from April til November usually. I just LOVE sand
I'm from colorado but live in Idaho. I love the mountain riding here!!
I hear ya, I love riding in the Cub River area near Preston Id. Mostly ride motorcycles and utility quad up there. My Rappy is set up for sand only, no skids.
