ok so i have an 06 700r and my suspension feels so stiff. i weigh 138 geared up. I was looking around and since i noticed alot of YFZ items work on our raptors i found some decent deals.
I mostly trail ride and sand dunes here and there.
I found these shocks on craigslist
http://detroit.craigslist.org/mcy/772466841.html
and these +2 arms on ebay
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=011&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=320288481385&rd=1
Both items are for YFZ but will work right?
What do you guys think of this setup???
anyone?
Since they are setup for a YFZ they will be valved differently. The YFZ weighs alot less than the raptor.
For that money I would send your shocks off to Josh Wiig and have them done up for YOU!

Can they do the fronts even though they are from a stock 06 raptor 700???

Damn, I forgot you had the 06. Might have to look into a new set of shocks.
Debating on what to do. My rear shock might be blown but i can't really tell until i check it out on sunday. So i might just upgrade to some elkas? HMMM Decisions decisions!
I can't believe I'm about to recommend Elka, but if you want something fairly cheap and give an overall better ride then stock the Elka shocks should do the trick. I must warn you though once you get a few weeks on the Elka's you may out grow them.
I can get you a new set of St Travel Hermann Racing a-arms(ball joints and tie rods included) + Elka standard (no adjustments) for $945.00

Not 100% true. I bought the quad with the elkas on it, they did'nt have rebound on them. I wanted the rebound add and I told him to go a head a check out the valving. It was valved for the previous rider. I got a deal on the rear shock and though it would work for my application, but it did'nt. So off to josh again.
I delt with Elka on a couple of ocasions trying to get the shock setup on my own and they have great customer service!! I spoke with a tech there and he spent about an hour on the phone with me trying to figure out how to set up the shocks.
