I just got done with a dyno test of the 700R DMC dual pipe system (comp).
While I am a Barker Dealer and love Tims pipes, the guys at DMC asked me to try a set of these, so I obliged.
I will be doing a test on a machine we just turned into a 771, where I will test them against the Barkers back to back. (old Barkers).
They work pretty damn good.
Best hp numbers I have seen from a bolt on, Super Six mod machine.
It had:
Dynatek Ignition (curve 2)
Dynatek Programmer
Mod Quad Intake (some power to be had there with new stuff we are working on)
KDS bored TB +2mm
Hot Cam Stage 3
Ron Wood Pipe (and the DMC and Packard Design Lab Single).
The Packard Pipe makes the best torque, the DMC makes the best HP, the Wood is there in the middle.
The Packard and the Woods are louder than the DMC. The DMC has a sweet sound to it, I like it.
The DMC also has the best fit and finish as well as the best and easiest installation of any 700R pipe I have seen. Its top notch.
They did a good job on it. I was skeptical since the original DMC is a huge turd, but this one is not. Its a good pipe!
I will be selling this test pipe for $650 in a week if anyone is interested.
Pictures and graps to follow this evening.
DMC = 60 and 46
Packard = 57 and 48
Ron Wood = 58 and 45
In my previous testing, the Barkers make 2 hp on the Woods, but usually not much more if any more torque, so these might make more bottom end, but thats purely speculation at this point.
I will test it later this week as we work on our intake systems.
nice work guys :grin_nod:
Good to see another option for Duals on the market
I'm no genius or major motor guy by ANY means, but how come it'd make more HP but less TQ? Don't those usually go hand in hand? ???
Nice setup and thanks for the info!
I hate peak numbers for this reason.
I will post the graphs and it will make sense.
Basically the Packard pipe makes the most power down low.
Thanks for the test info Kam...great stuff as usual
Thanks for the info Kam. Lots of cool stuff for these 700's is hitting the market right now.
Thanks Kam ;)
Can't wait for the graphs
I am holding back on ordering a set of duals to see how it shakes down.
Grant
Grant, I shouldn't quote someone, but paul said for the over 800 bb the bbb's will dyno the same as drag pipes.
Gene, maybe my rappy has got the "little man syndrom" It just wants to pack around the big dog pipes  Besides, my boy has been eyeing my pipes since he got his new Raptor.
Grant
Attitude should be good for 2 more hp.
:)
Here are the graphs.
Sorry for the delay.
I have not had a chance to test back to back against the Barkers yet, but I will soon enough.
The best I can do is compare the best running 6 mod with Barkers and this one.
They are not back to back the same bike however.
First is the same biek RW to DMC back to back.

Nevermind that.
As I looked over the runs there was other variables that would confuse the test.
We will need to just call this a DMC v Ron Wood test.
All I know for sure is I have never hit 60 on a Super 6 before the DMC pipes.
Very interesting results. It's nice to see DMC come back with a solid performer.
Subject has been split to keep Kam's Thread on track

If at first you don't succeed.....just buy a set of Barkers, put your own cans on 'em....and call them new and improved. :grin_nod:

Da Joka was running this pipe on the bike he was selling. There are pics of it on the other forum.
