Title: Another dual exhaust question
Post by: preddy08 on July 21, 2008, 09:15:00 AM
I was just wondering if you need to remap for adding da duals....lol

My bike is running good and was thinking about adding some duals, and dont want to take it back to the dyno.

The map MAY be a bit rich...

I have over 120 diffrent maps I'm compiling for a database, I have been comparing the additions of diffrent mods and have noticed that the dual maps have larger fuel increases in the higher throttle position and RPM.

He has that 14:1 piston.

Piston doesn't affect the fuel curve though.

an 11:1 bike with barkers should haev the same map as a 14:1 with the same mods.

I didn't know that.  I guess you learn something everyday.  I would guess that your map would get him close since you both had bo do your heads.

I'd keep the single exhaust if you already have it dialed in correctly.

Get the duals, that big ol piston needs to exhale   By the way, are you gonna hit up Walden while you're in Colorado?  I'll be up there this weekend if my 14:1 gets here in time.  I'm switching from the stage2 and 12.5:1 to a stage3 and a racer's edge 14:1, I'll be interested to see if it gains much

I'll have to see if I can find my dirt tires.  Are there good trails up there?  I've only ridden snowmobiles around that area.

Need to get Aaron up there, the road heading to red cone peak could be a nice practice road for Pike's Peak runs.
