Nice place to ride. I'm taking a 4 hour trip next weekend to the "dunes" we have here in Louisiana. All we have is run-down MX tracks and woods. Hopefully it will be a nice change in scenery but, I'm skeptical.
Nice pics AJ
It was hot as FERK up in Terryall where I rode yesterday, bet it was pretty warm u in Walden too?

Where are dunes in LA??
I realize the rail is built for a person with a disability (I think) but how is it steered? Is it steered by using a persons knee? Looks to be a whole bunch of fun but I am a little not understanding how ya turn it! We have a friend that is paralized from the waiste down and rides a KFX700 better than I ride!! Kick ass pics!!!

i missed that completely dude... looks like the round thing on the left steers it, like strap your foot in and use it or something?...
sweet pics tho man im jealous of you duners i want to ride in the sand it looks wicked fun
Once you ride in good sand you wont want to ride anywhere else. Either that or you hate it and never want to go back. I am a diehard sandrat, I will ride anytime of year rain or shine and occasionally snow

But I love trails and love CC racing cause you can have the slowest bike on the course and still punish the competition. :grin_nod:
So, pretty much....... If it's riding, I'm in ;)

It wasn't bad at all really. Got up into the mid 80s but there was a nice breeze and the sun went under some big clouds a couple of times.

Yep its for a local guy that grew up in Walden. His name is Les. I've known him for a couple of years. Met him through my friend Danno that moved to Yuma, AZ. They just got done building that rail for him a couple of weeks ago and they had just got back from Killpecker in Rock Springs. He lost his arms in a snowmobile accident I believe. He is in his 50s or 60s now. That big wheel has a piece of metal that pivots and turns and he just puts his foot in there. They don't even have the cutter brakes on that one yet and I feel more comfortable riding with him than anyone else. Hes an awesome guy on top of that!

I'm the exact same way! Except wet sand does suck to ride in sometimes haha. I rode dirt for probably 5 years or more then got my first taste of sand and thats all I do now. My quad is a sand queen. I did take it trail riding over the 4th however but that is a one time a year thing....if that
looks like a hell of a good time. :nana:
i can't wait to hit the sand again.
AJ, Troy, Keil
I'm heading to walden Aug 1st through 3rd. Maybe see you out there ???
