Title: Part number for rubber hub caps?
Post by: Headrope on July 13, 2008, 10:20:40 AM
Does anyone know what the part number is for those rubber hub caps that cover the castle nut on the wheels?

I could go look it up on another forum, but don't feel like giving page views to ATV.com.

i just went to the stealership and told them i needed one and they told me that they are used mostly for shipping and that you don't need one. and when i told them that i wanted one anyway the guy just went in to the back and stole one off another quad and gave it to me. maybe you could be that lucky and get one for free.

I could see them being used for only shipping, I checked the rappy manual and the cut-away they have for the front hub section they don't even show the little caps.

I'll call my friend in cali and get the part number.  I picked up a new set when i lost mine last year.  I think they were about 3 bucks each.

I was actually told the exact same thing! I left mine on, but its kind of like driving around with the packing material still on your bike...

That would be good to know the part number,as ive also been told here in the UK by our dealer that they are for shipping purposes only,as my friend has one missing and keeps trying to nick one of mine

It may be like driving around with the packing still to those with phony "special editions."
The caps really set off the wheels on the 50th anniversary special editions, though.
