Title: ProArmor Chassis Skid
Post by: Oilfield_Mafia on February 05, 2009, 07:25:37 PM
Well I got my ProArmor in today thatnks to the quick shipping from KBMotorsports. Install was a snap, but it helped to have an extra hand to put the spacer/washers inbetween the skidplate and the existing bolt holes. The only thing that I was not 100% impressed with was the hardware they send with the skidplate. Its regular head bolts instead of panhead bolts that use allen wrenches. The PA Skid has small countersunk areas for the bolts to stay recessed in though. All in all I like it alow and now feel MUCH safer with my case protection. I also Like the fact that PA sends two anti-vibration pads to stick on the rear of the skid.

I highly recommend this skidplate and KBMotorsports service! Top notch!

Here is a pic of the puny stock skid..

And here is the replacement.. 1/8" thick and VERY light.

One thing I'd suggest. (As I own this same one) is... along your whole frame on the bottom. Put in the foam weather stripping. between the frame and the skid. Stops all of the pesky rattles.
