Look at little closer at your poll

If it runs good choked you are to lean.  Check your plug I bet it is white.

By installing bigger jets   Find someone with close mods and ask them what they run for jets so you have a starting point..

Have you had problems with the carbs before or did you do something to it like any modifications? If not you might check your valve clearences. My old 660 got to where it was hard to start and you had to have it choked all the time and i found the valves had gotten tight on it. Just a thought.

here's the only thing you need to do,,,bull with the rest,,, take your carbs off,,don't damage nothing while doing,,take the bottom bowls off ,dismantel floats system,,spray wd40 all through idial ports every hold you see,let set for about and hour, respray[clean] un screw your jets, but make sure you count the number of turns of your jets and return the same way if your did not have problems before this, return carb back together ,your done, turn key and ride,,,your carbs are set up from long time setting, to stop this use sable next time or unsrew your drain plugs in carb,if not it's about a $400 repair bill in shop,it's easy ,just take your time and remember how you took it apart
