Was it a new bore?
or just a re-hone?
Did you check for out of round?
These larger bores can go out of round pretty easy.

These motors do have a lot of pumping within the crankcases, that is a big pistion going up & down with (comparatively) little crankcase volume to handle the pressure fluctuations.
I made my own crankcase breather system up to ensure the cases could breath easy.
If your breather isn't free enough, the back pressure on the rings can disrupt the seal

it was a new bore done to fit the piston done by armstrong the same guys that build some of the nhra dragracing car motors everything was good to go it seems strange that it would go so fast like this
04 Raptor 660
bored to 673cc
11:1 wiseco high compression piston
port and polished head
stage 2 uni airfilter
stage 2 dynojet intake kit
stock pipe guts removed
protaper atv highbend bars
kenda knarly tires
0 - +3 team firestick axle
powermadd handgards
alx and gytr skids and nerfs

theres 2 kinds of riders, thouse that ride up to there skill level and thouse who crash down to it.

What is your crankcase pressure like?

not sure about the pressure dont have a way to check it but odds are its gonna be high tho since every other pressure is high in the motor

so i went back out and thought well i best check the timing at the cam so i pulled the head off the motor and sure enough the timing was off by 2 teeth so i had to pull cam back 2 teeth now she starts alot more easy and the headers dont glow to the melting point after 30 sec of idle but now i thought ill do an oil change at the same time and when i started it up to pump the oil from the dry sump tank into the motor well its not working now the oil is not pumping now. cracked the little bolt on the head to see if any oil would come out and nothing took the dipstick out and its not even doing anything.

I would replace the piston if it is a question and unknown hours on it...Get something like a 11:1 piston for stockbore.

Well I'd check it out and make sure it doesn't have obvious signs of wear on it...rings do wear out but it could be your jug too going out of round.

well im sure the fact the oil pump wasnt giving it any oil might have made the rings wear out a bit sooner then they should have too lol but as of now the motor is out of the frame and in a ton of parts doing a complete teardown and checking everything now might do another bore to 102mm if i end up needing another piston

Yeah I would do a 102 bore...But I would be careful if the crank is still stock, cause I hear of a lot of rod failures with 660s after you put any kind of real power to them.

yeah 102 would be the biggest i would want to go with it after then i would just resleave it back to a stock 100mm or sell it /burn it withever gives me more money for a new one lol
