What about the GYTR

What about the GYTR
Good catch
-
Ive had the GYTR Intake for 2 years now and it is just an excellent mod for your money
-
According to another site (RF)... The FUELATV is now available. $199 shipped. He is doing some sort of special at the time... I will let you find out about that on your own.
-
i would like to modify my intake as well. i can get a velocity through work here, but i am scared of the filter being too much like a k&n, which i have had bad experiences with dust. any suggestions? removing the air box is not an option. also there is a twin air filter air mod as well. and also this one http://www.cfmracing.com/raptor700.html

I think the twin air filter is only available for the 660.
I personally am running the Pro-Design intake and I love it. I have 2 filters, one foam and one k&N. I run the K&N when not dust, and the UNI Foam when I'm riding in the dust.
-
If the airbox must stay, the Velocity is not an option. The prodesign, trinty, monster, and Texas are all proven with the airbox.

I think the one from TQS might be a way to go because you keep the airbox.
-
the TCI I thought didn't use the stock box. I'll have to check.

I thought it did. Let me know what you find out.
-
From FCI on RF:
This intake will come with a box. we originally wanted it to fit in the stock box. Do to its smallish size we cant fit a big enough filter in there to make a diffrence. so we had to make a box. there is no way around it. We have over 350 runs on the dyno with about 25 different configurations that we tried. We have it figured it out guys. It will carry peak power or carry with in a hp for another 1000 rpms. over a standard aftermarket intake. over stock its ridiculous for just an intake change.
-
I'll do some research and post up pics and details for each intake.

The FCI box has no lid, and I don't believe any of the after market lids will fit without modification. If water to the motor is your concern, I say a intake that uses the stock box is your best choice.

twin air kit is parts canada pt#700986. i also see no-toil has an aluminum air box parts canada pt#191696. if you want pics, i can post them.
thanks for the input guys, i kinda want a lid for my box, during the summer there isnt a ploblem with water, but spring time, it gets pretty ugly :grin_nod:
-
ooh, I'd be interested in seein the pics

i have access to these books http://www.partscanada.com/catalogues http://motovan.com/catalogs_en.html http://www.importationsthibault.com/2007/catalogue.php?langue=en

FCI airbox production to start soon...... no pics available at this time.
It would be nice if a lid was available without modding an aftermarket.

I think they shot themselves in the foot when the decided to go w/ no box... There's a lot of duners out there. but there's MORE people that ride woods style... :)
-
they are making a box though. and i bet soon enough there will be a lid for it. now fuelatv shot themselfs in the foot. they have no box and most likely will not be making power like the fci also.

There are two different intakes that go by the name Velocity, the ebay one that is an open element with a new tube, and another one that Majic Racing sells that is a plastic adapter and a K&N style filter with an outerwear.

It's what my 700 had on it when I bought it, I sold it for the Texas Quad intake. Now I wish I had waited for the FCI or FuelATV to come out, but if I get one of those, what will be out 6 months from now? ???
-
atleast, bought the same time the DASA Duals drop
-
I will be working with pro-tec and EHS to get a lid available for the FCI intake airbox.
You dont have to worry about something better coming out for the 700 after the FCI is released. Look at the yfz450 and the trx450. The yfz450 FCI intake came out years ago and its still the top of the line. Nothing even comes close to the power and top notch quality these things put out.
-
So what your SAYING is.. I should sell my pro-design ???

The FUELATV intake is out. It has been out for about 2 months as promised. The FUELATV intake has PROVEN on the dyno to make more HP then any other intake available now. As far as running wiothout an air box you will be fine as long as you are not riding in deep water. The FUELATV intake has been out for over 2 years for the LTR450 and has rave reviews. The problem with the air box is once dirt or debris get in the box ist stays there. The box is almost a dirt trap ....... Here is the dyno sheet of the FUELATV intake vs. trinity intake ITS NOT EVEN CLOSE.

-
Pretty impressing for just an intake ! :)
-
3hp holy sh*t
-
RMEMBER this is 3 HP over the trinity intake .......... i would guess about 5 hp over stock. This is not just an intake. We spent alot of time on the dyno getting the best intake adaptor shape to maximize flow and velocity. Fiter design and shape also comes into play. You will be VERY happy with the FUELATV intake no question.
-
Here's RocketFactory's on mine. I don't run the K&N filter...The short Spectre(Autozone special $23.00) made more power on my bike.

im planning on installing an intake adapter and filter along with pc3 but am going to be leaving the airbox lid on for now. please help me!
which would you buy? and why?
thanks,
donald
-
I have the pro-design kit. and I love it. If I was going to do it all over though, I'd probably hold out for the FCI intake because it replaces the stock tube that hooks up to the Throttle Body squeezing more HP outta these beasts. as well as it comes with its own replacement air box.
-
FCI's are the shit for the YFZ so im assuming its just as good for the 700 as well
-
i was waiting for the fci, but i am one of the oddball people who runs my airlid almost all the time. so i figured id just go this route since the fci is coming out months after it was thought to be ready and who knows how long it will be before someone makes a lid for it.
-
fair enough. Your best bet then would be the monster quad or the Trinity then. Both still use the stock airbox and you can get an aftermarket lid then 8)

When the FCI is released there should be plenty of Trinity & Pro Design's for sale... mabe even cheap
-
TQS is already accepting payment for the FCI and stated they might ship at the end of the week or beginning of next. He also stated on the forum that due to requests for a Protech Lid he was going to see if he could get one made for the new FCI box!
-
Nothing against steve. But I wouldn't hold my breath. They;'ve been saying FCI for how long now?
It's kind of like the mystical DASA duals.
-
Yea, these have been a long time in the makings, the only reason I am waiting is the excellent reputation the FCI has with the YFZ's.

they are shipping out and ready to ship out on Friday of next week. that is the date and they will be ready. sorry guys all the dealys were out of our hands. But we have the box version and the non box version ready. Sidenote. If you buy the box version you can still run it with out the box if you like it comes with te bracket to run it that way. so you have the best of both worlds.

Hey guys I am in the middle of my preparation for my race next month.
I want to get rid of this shitty OEM intake for a nicer one, i bought the trinity intake but don;t want to run a K&N as I will be in a cloud of dust a big part of the race.
Anybody knows what kind of foam air filter will suit the trinity intake?
Thanks for your help.
-
Hey francky
Good luck with your race
I watched some vid & enjoyed pics you posted ? on the other site? good stuff
Twin Air comes to mind as a high quality foam filter, I have a 2 stage Pro Design
Hope this helps
-
Thanks for your comments Bert.
Will the twin air fit the trinity intake?
cheers

-
Alright thanks for the tip i have ordered three twin air filters for the race.
therefore I have the trinity intake plus K&N filter for sale as I was planning to use it after the desert challenge.
If anyone is interested PM me.
cheers.
-
Did you by chance have the part number for the twin air that fits the pro design?
-
Actually twin air has made their own intake for the rappy. it doesn't fit the pro design intake as it is holding the cage for the foam filter.

Will a GYRT itake and a GYTR pipe give more power to my 700r??????
-
Will a GYRT itake and a GYTR pipe give more power to my 700r??????
To an extent yes. But to really get more power you will have to add a PC3 or similar fuel controller. And you can have a pipe that will out perform the GYTR for less $$$ if you just shop around some
-
Thanks for the advice, can i purchase a mapthat is already pre programmed.

Mario, PC3 won't give the power, it will make sure you are running correctly, and don't burn up your motor.
How is the Princess? Or was she in another castle? Sorry, couldn't resist.

i got a fuel and it does awesome i love it great mod for your money
