Little Sahara 10-08
« on: June 13, 2008, 08:04:06 PM »
It's waaaayyyy early, I know but as I have stated numerous times, I am obsessed. Hittin up Oklahoma dunes wed October 8- Sun 12th. I can't wait already. It would be cool to shake hands with a member here or 2....well, maybe not all of you, you all scare me slightly.  Maybe just a wave as I drive by.

13 hr drive by way of Lincoln Neb, to pick up my buddy and his banshee.

To quote spongebob, which my 5yr old is watching: "i'm ready, i'm ready"

Krandall: "peelz. I'll be real with you. As much as I hate on you for soccer, I really don't mind it"

pics will happen. I am sure you could handle it. The first time I clcimbed  a big dune, I was whimpering like little schoolgirl, a few times and it is no big deal. Just let off the gas when you hit the top so don't go into orbit.

Nah, im already impatient for this October. All I know is I dont want to be there during sandfest or rattlesnake hunt. Too many people IMO. We are making a trip every year in early October it looks like. Im thinkin about leaving a day early and making it 6 days of riding.

what's the weather like in oct around there?

really warm and dry, but cool at night. It was almost perfect when were there. Just slightly warm. It got to 91 once, not really that bad. Summer is super hot, spring is really wet and rainy, I guess the bottom of the dunes fills with water. There were a couple of ponds out there. Winter is cold and windy, I am told.
