From QWEST:
We are experiencing some issues with the DNS server (NS2), this will cause some sites to appear offline sometimes. It will take us a couple of hours to correct this. We will have this fixed shortly. 5:21am
Guys, support and LP are getting flooded, we know the issue is there, we are working to resolve it, the more ticket and Live Chats we have, the longer this will take, PLEASE refrain from opening a ticket for this issue, we are working to get it resolved as quickly as humanly possible. 6:10am
Alright, both DNS servers were actually giving us trouble, we've repaired one, and have the other one reloading the zones now, we will let you know, once both are up and running smoothly. 6:54am
Zone's are still loading. Almost done though. 10:00am Update:
[FROM ROOMIE]
Randy,
Zone complications we made when our DNS servers attempted to replicate across zones. When replication failed it sits and retries, a DNS change was made on Qwest Side that didn’t replicate to us, and when we reconnected it corrupted both databases. Ours and there’s. And when multiple people started to try and fix it, we created a tar pit working off of each other’s work, for example editing a file that two people have open. And when they both try to save in the same place at the same time.
Randy, I have initiated our DNS Move and it have completed…so should all be cherry, soon
Yeah problems….
In lamen terms... When you typed RaptorSource.com it was trying to resolve but since Qwests DNS was fubared. no one could find us. We are pointing currently to a secondary DNS system, and once QWEST gets their sh*t together we'll be pointing through them.
Issues started anything north of St. Louis and west of the Missisppi. That's why Aaron you were first to experience the issues.
<edit: Not that any of you care lol, I just feel it's a need for us as a resourceful place to keep you guys informed of big and small issues. >
