I'm not a big fan of the disk style exhausts.
The disc set-up has many pros but tend to be a little more expensive.
1) they are an approved spark arrestor
2) discs can be added for greater exhaust flow, thus increasing hp/tq and sould levels .
3) discs can be removed to quiet the system down and meet area db restrictions.
4) completely tunable.
The disc system can be changed out for a more conventional tip and screened spark arrestor if so desired.
The original CT Racing single performed extremely well in the earlier shootout but was just over the 96db sound limit established for the test. Since then CT has further improved the pipe and now builds it with a 2 1/4" silencer core. It uses a larger than stk header and mid pipe diameter for greater exhaust flow needed in modded engines and incorporates a reverse cone megaphone from the mid pipe to the silencer (like Barker and DMC duals) for improved mid range power. Its large 2 1/4" silencer core has 25% greater volume/area than the std 2" silencers out there for excellent top end breathability.
I believe Cammy is speaking of my CT Pipe I am considering selling. I also have Barker duals and don't really need the two systems. My pipe was recently sent in to CT Racing to have the big core added and fresh packing installed. I have also added an O2 sensor bung at the collector for using a PC5 sensor for tuning and applied/baked on a flat black satin VHT header coating. Silencer has the original brushed aluminum finish with blue CT decal. I have run this pipe on my 700 for maybe 10 hours tops and am very happy with the sound and performance of this exhaust.
Haven't posted it up for sale yet but if anyone is interested just drop me a PM. Thanx, Kirk
