Motowoz triple rate shocks or Elka elite Quadruple rate shocks
« on: November 12, 2009, 10:45:10 AM »
Ok Guys,

I need some help.Im going for a set of Houser silcast +2.25 MGC LT arms in candy red as i have the 2008 se1.
The question is do i go for

1. Motowoz triple rate shocks and pay the extra to have springs candy red and everythink else which is blue gloss black or

2. Elka Elite quadruple rate shocks

I wanted the Motowoz, but by time i pay for the extra for changing the colour it works out more expensive than the higher rate Elka quadruple shocks. What do i do ???

I doubt you'd be disapointed either way.  I'd say Elkas based on your wants.

this post made me laugh. thanks kama

I say Elka, based on the bikes I have ridden. Gunz is the only motowoz bike I have ridden. Didn't care for it.  Could be valving though.

I've rode on both. I've only rode on one set of Motowoz and about 10-20 sets of Elkas. I'm definitely gonna have to say Motowoz for the Mutha f'n win. A-lot of guys have rode my bike on here and I guarantee the only ones that liked the suspension are the guys that are my weight. Peels is like eleventeen pounds soaking wet, so obviously he isn't gonna like my 225lb sprung shocks, now on the other hand Mad Dog was exactly my weight and when he pee'd his pants at WOT on the whoops with a Koolaid smile you knew he was digging them. I'm not really brand loyal so my opinion isn't to bias. I rode some quad rate Elkas sprung for my weight back in spring and just didn't like them. I couldn't seem to get them dialed in for shit. I used to be a huge Elka fan, but those days are gone. My next setup is going to be FOX floats, but that wont be till spring. Like I said I'm not brand loyal, but I do love my Motowoz, best shock I've been on to date. Definitely no disappointment.  Take it for what it's worth. Here's a pic of mixed colored bike, I don't know why but it looks sick ass hell to me.

Ridden a bike with MotoWoz and standard Elkas, my vote hands down is elka.
Just a little 81hp trail bike.

I've rode Preddy's and his Elka's are pimp as hell too, the fronts anyhow. The back kept bottoming out with my fatass on them. I think Preddy had his rebuilt though.

I was setup a little soft that day, that, and you have a little more fluff than I do  :P

80% is valving
15% is setup
5% is brand of shock

^ All IMO!

Just a little 81hp trail bike.
