As usual, all are welcome. Families and friends, Yamahas, Hondas, even Polaris' and pickup trucks.
Schedule
Thursday June 7th
No group events, arrival date for some members.
Friday June 8th 9:00am to close
No group events scheduled but we will have an assembly area in the parking lot.
Saturday
10:00am - Group ride; assemble on the beach and then we'll ride for about an hour to an hour and a half. We'll start with a slow group ride, just a cruise around the dunes. And then circle back around to the beach after a lap or two and split it up.
12:00pm - BBQ down on the beach. Group Picture to immediately follow Lunch Approximate time of 1:30pm but subject to change.
Afternoon - Ride with other members, or go out by yourself. Staging area will be the same. Times vary according to need.
Yamaha Demo Days (at the dunes) and West Michigan Sand Dragway Races (a few miles away from the dunes) will be going on during the day.
Sunday
No group events, most will be headed home.
I'll find some way to make our group stand out this year so that the assembly areas are easy to find. More details on that as it develops.
Food/Who's Bringing it/What we still need
Grill, fuel for grill, utensils for grill, guy to run grill
Hot Dogs
Buns for dogs
Hamburgers
Buns for dogs
Cheese and condiments
Side Dishes (salads/fruits/vegetables/etc)
Chips and dip of any and all kinds
Cookies or some other non-perishable dessert
Any other foods or non alcoholic beverages you'd like to bring and share (alcohol not permitted within dune area and parking lot)
There will be no group rate this year at Sierra Sands, prices are $96/night Friday/Saturday nights and $76 for weeknights. This is for rooms with 1 queen bed and 1 sofa (max 3 people) or a deluxe room (2 queen beds, 4 person max). You can have more people in these rooms for an additional cost of $5 per person per night. There are suites available for more $$$. We usually end up with triple and quadruple occupancy. There are a very limited number of fold away beds available for additional charge of 8 dollars per night.

What weekend would you suggest...the weekend after labor day? the weekend before july 4? may, when it's too cold? July when it's too hot and the hotel prices double?

Demo Days and WMSD race on June 9-10...considering switching dates. Please chime in if this will alter your ability to attend and do so quickly, as this needs to be nailed down very very soon.

Booked my hotel this evening.
Later this month I'll be taking names down for attendance purposes and laying out the food. Those of you who are attending please start thinking about what you might want to bring along for the group lunch.

Sorry to hear it als, unfortunately a lot of the regulars from the LS rally have been unable to make it over the SL rally. I just have to be content with riding with those people in October :thumbs:

Man, that vid hefe.. I know it was nothing "special" but man alive, it doens't look like you guys could have gotten much better weather!!! Freaking gorgeous out there. I don't care how "small" SL is... that place is beautiful... :)
