Raptor 350 > 350 Maintenance

Changing front sprocket.

(1/2) > >>

JoeSchmoe:
Hello folks! My neighbor stripped out the chain/sprockets on his 350 Raptor.

He's having trouble with the nut holding the front (little) sprocket. Not coming off.

Before he REALLY whales on it he'd like to know if it is regular thread or reverse thread?

Joe

Spartan:
I haven't worked on a 350 before but I imagine it should be the same principle as a 700s...make sure the locktab is bent off and use an air impact or breaker bar on it (best to do it with the trans in neutral) and put the parking brake on, wedge the rear sprocket and/or rotor and use a breaker bar.

JoeSchmoe:
Wow, thanks for the quick response!

Do you remember if it was reverse threaded?

Joe

Spartan:
Nope mine wasn't...righty tighty, lefty loosey.

JoeSchmoe:
Thank you!! Or perhaps, thank you from my neighbor! He wants to go out this weekend :)

Joe
