Ok so yesterday on our way to silver lake sand dunes we purchased my brother an 05 660 which looked to be in good condition. The whole day was smooth until then end when we noticed the axel carrier bearings were bad (about 1/2 play) and the rear shock was loose. (i already ordered new carrier bearings but what to do for the shock?
There was lots of play on the top where the bolt holds the shock and bottom.
We tried to tighten it but that bolt wont budge. it wont even loosen.
What should i do?

new bushings? Is there one in there separating the bolt from the shock?
-
I doubt it from how much play there was. i will check when i get home. How hard is it to remove that rear shock?

google search Raptor OEM parts and find one with a fiche diagram. Every single part used on a raptor is available. Except for upper ball joint...you have to buy the whole damn A-arm

Would the Collar be the part i'm missing?

that would be my guess. I put my front a-arm back together once and forgot that. I noticed it instantly, though, Not left it on there.

well the quad was at the local stealership because i couldnt get the axle carrier out (whole other problem) and they told me the bearings for the shocks are bad. Does that sound like that would cause what im describing?
Thanks
