Future Rally dates
« on: July 09, 2010, 01:42:55 PM »
Is it feasible to lock in future dates for each Rally?

For example, the LS Ok Rally this year is on the first week of October.  Can we have it ALWAYS the first week of October or whatever week everybody decides on?

Reason being I have to choose my vacations well before we set rally dates.  I'm probably not the only one.  It would be pretty convenient to know that RR@LS will be on the X week of X month, WinBay will be X/X, and so on.

I'm all for a sticky with each rally date and location.

When vacation bid time rolls around this year I'll put in for the first week of October.     One handy trick for those unfortunate souls like me with low seniority is to find an senior guy and talk him into bidding your week then swap with him when it rolls around.

I think last years was at the end of Sept.  I'd already bid my 2010 vacations by the time the new date was set in '09.

I thought there were more rallys.   ???  The Silver Lake rally fell through apparently and became a ride but I think having concrete dates for rallies would be a good thing.  We can always set up smaller rides.

Anyway, based on this years dates:

Winchester Bay, Or. - third week of May

St. Anthonys, Id. - Memorial Weekend (last Monday in May)
\
Silver Lake, Mi. - third week of June

Little Sahara, Ok. - first week of October

How about a setting up a West Coast rally?  It would have to be either early or late in the year I would imagine.  Even if I can't make it, it will be cool to see pics and video from everybody else.

You are correct.  The date for 2010 moved up.
