ive done it a few times.... will most likely take you about 2.5 hrs
nothing real hard,,, dont drop the bolts or retainer plate in the motor
beware of the center decomp mechanism pin to not fall out into the motor
check your cam timing and set at TDC before removal and double check cam timing before final assemblie
needed tools.
feeler gauges from .004 thousandths and up
10 mm socket
8 mm socket
10 mm wrench
needle nose pliers
1 zip tie
BLUE medium strength loctite (for the cam retainer plate bolts)
RED permanent strength loctite (for the cam sprocket and decompression bolts)
Cam removal tool (6mm allthread and 1/2 in pcv pipe, nut and large washer)
RECOMMENDED to use a IN/LB TORQUE WRENCH
75-80 in/lbs on the retainer bolts
160-180 in/lbs on the cam sprocket bolts
