Just an FYI. I installed a Dr. D Reverse kit on my Rap 700. Rode it for about a month before I noticed that when I cut my handle bars all the way to the right that the cable was being pulled and would go into reverse. Yes it would be hard, but possible. It's a simple fix of rerouting the cable and you can use the stock cable.
To elaborate I guess the only time it would be an issue is if you were making a sharp right turn and downshifting to first (missing first and going into reverse).
Maybe I'm the only dumbass but I just thought I would put it out there.
On a lighter note, my buddy who doesn't do any of this own work took his raptor 700 in for service. The tech told him his left from bearing was shot. Most likely do to cleaning it with a pressure washer (getting H2O into the dust seals). Anyway to make a long story short, he didn't listen to the "Kid" and it locked up sending him over the bars.

What does this DR D reverse lever do?

What does this DR D reverse lever do?
it moves reverse to your handlebars, sooo handy. i put my key on the fender, where the reverse knob used to be
-
do you need any extra fittings to put the key on the fender, how did you manage to take it from the plastic dash on the handlebars, or did you just totally remove that. What about the reverse and neutral light if you did remove it? ???

the dr. d reverse kit comes with a piece that covers where the old reverse used to be. i drilled a hole in that, and put my ignition there.
i think someone makes a billet piece that works alot better.
about your idicator lights ~ its just a piece of plastic that u remove from the front, your idicator/dash stays in place.

I just moved mine down and stuck in the hole and tighter the bolt up.

This is one of the best changes I've done, and for the price how can you go wrong.

I shed my front brakes and didn't have anywhere to mount my DR.D.... So I flipped it over and mounted it on the clutch perch... I like my Dr.D, but when I get my tranny cut, I'm takin 5th and reverse out...

these cames with manuals? oops. hopefully mine is alright, i actaully had to tighten the cable because at first it wouldnt trigger reverse. maybe i should double check it.
On a side note, I LOVE IT. I already moved my key to the bar via trail tech, so I mounted my aux light switch in the old reverse lever spot.
