K&N Air Filters

With K&N air filters, like the one that comes with the MOD Quad kit, once it gets dirty cause you wash it out and re-oil it, or do you have to buy a new filter?

Do you have to use anything special to wash them with or will gas work just fine?

Soap and water works for me. I don't like gas becuase it can deteriate the filter material.
