Like I said we need to get another group buy going for lighted whips. What do you say?
-
In for 2, been looking for a week now which is the better ones out there.
-
I have a SafeGlo from the last group buy, I haven't had any problems but I only use mine twice a year. Some other members have used another brand, I can't recal the name but hopefully someone will chime in.

Wife bought me 7 ft long battery powered 10 led string for $2.10 a target... :) is it as bright as the good ones?,....nope, but WHEN I crash, I'm out absolutely nothing

So don't buy a safeglo or tribal. Kinda funny cause tribal even shows them beating it agaisnt a tree.
I would love to see a quick light discount, they are THE BEST. But light em up and glow whips are my 2nd and 3rd. Not having tubes filled with silicon and led is a good option for little sahara and tree

Is there an alternative to a lighted whip @ superbrightleds.com Something DIY

not really. I tried. But I have battery powered strings on my kids bicycles. Like xmas lights...cost like 3 bucks a piece. SO I just got myself one from target for $2.10 clearance in blue. 7 ft long with 10 lights-brighter than you think too.....4 AA's will last 14 hrs. And I don't have to wire it in, or worry about crashing.
-
if you want a DIY, go to the autopart store and buy the led strings for $15-$20... depending how long you want. you can run these with just a 9v battery and zip tie it all up. options are open, but this tread is for the group by :)

here you go Berty...made another thread. Nothing wrong with the real whips, just too expensive for what they are, and for a guy who gets one trip to the dunes a year. And...will most likely crash and break it.

Peels, lets see a pic. You've been screaming about making your own since the first LSR back in 09. If you would have bought one a few years ago, you'd be out a dime a day.
FYI, I've had my Safe Glo for 2 years still works like the day I bought it. My chicks is fine too.
-
Yeah man. I never get to the dunes so I haven't really cared. Sorry gunny. I made one to test last year then crashed and destroyed it lol
-
this ever gonna happened? lol
