New Raptor Owner!!!
« on: June 30, 2008, 02:40:56 PM »
I am going to test drive my 06 Rapyor 700 today! I was wondering if a few of you could answer some questions, here is a copy of my old post. Is this the mid grade model, or is the 700 the best model they made in 06?

Ok so I was so into the outlaw, and was ready to pick up a 08 outlaw IRS for 7600 OTD... My neighbor just called me and said he would sell me his 06 Raptor 700 for 4 grand! I can't let this price go out the door!

Raptor has full exhaust system, air intake, computer chip, and a stabalizer bar. From what I hear they are fast stock and this quad should be a beast! He is also throwing in his ATV ramp, set of paddles / wheels and offroad tires / wheels, and possibly helmet. It also has a 3 year platinum warranty through a local dealership which is good until 2010.. I don't think I can beat this deal! I wanted everyone else's feedback. Thanks!

Also whats up with the ground clearance? The outlaw had 11" compared to 4"??

get the raptor!!!

the ground clearance is because the outlaw had IRS (independent rear suspension) instead of a straight axle like every other sport quad out there except the 700xx

Sounds like a good deal to me!  There is no such thing as a cheap or low end model Raptor 700, but you can get different models like the SE (special edition), or GYTR that has a few little tweaks like different shocks and color combo.
'07 powerwheels raptor...with a belt driven twin screw centrifugal turbocharger!  Wait for it, wait for it...!

Yea I rode the outlaw for a weekend and man you can fly down trails, nothing could keep up with me, 450's were left in the dust. I will be the 3rd owner of this Raptor, but it comes from a good mature owner. I can't beat this deal and am stoked to be part of the Raptor Crew lol. What type of models did they make in 06? Standard and the GTYR? What are the differences between the two? Also does this year/model have hydrallic clutch?

No love for me anymore? :'(

Great deal on the Raptor. I have never noticed a problem with ground clearance unless riding with utility guys. Just need to pick smarter lines. And wheelie over ruts. Plus, If there are any problems  with it, you always have us!

I'm gonna tell you this ahead of time. The turning radius of the raptor is HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!! The stock suspension is nothing less than a pogo stick thats gone limp. They are tipsy, oh and did I mention that the turning radius BLOWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I really feel that I bought the quad for its motor and reliability.

To all the haters out there............... :bird: Outlaw is a good quad!
