Adjusting Fast Idle mixture screw?!?
« on: October 25, 2009, 08:47:16 PM »
so my idle was too fast after i put my quad back together, and one of my friends thought this was the idle screw.  he did not pay attention to how many turns he made.  What does this do and any chance anyone knows how to reset it back to stock setting?  The manual says nothing about adjusting it or what it does...

yes, thats the idle setting. Idle should be around 1700 rpms, but if you can't tell eng speed your kinda on your own. What mods did you do? This could halp to eliviate the problem.

if you have a power commander. Just plug it into your laptop while running and adjust it accordingly. I don't know if there's a "stock" setting really for them.

i plugged my pc in and the idle is perfect, the cable was actually ran incorrectly which caused the high idle.  problem is, that screw was turned all over.  but you're saying if the idle is fine, leave that screw alone?
