Title: MonsterQuad Clear Cam Cover
Post by: Krandall on February 08, 2009, 10:13:40 PM
I have some pics and vids, But.... They are on my parents computer. so I only have the one pic. (I will get more later!)

So.... I got in on the group buy for these bad boys. Shipping was very quick. Got to my parents place this weekend, found a box, opened it up, bubble wrapped beyond believe. This baby was lasting a bomb for sure! So.. Packaging.. A+

Shipping. I paid and had it from Cali in 3 days.. Can't beat that! A+

Fitment: I pulled the old cam cover off. Took the o-ring off of it and put it on the MonsterQuad cover. Popped right into place. Tightened everything up. Fired the beast up. AMAZING! Can see the little splashes of oil in the pic below. A+

Finish: AMAZING. High polished billet aluminum. all of the screws to hold the clear window on have clear silicone on the inside to prevent any sort of leaks. A+

My ONLY issue I have with them, is.... w/ this stupid minnesota weather (Cold) I found that after running the quad to full warm-up and shutting it off. Condensation build up on the window inside. No big deal as once it gets warmed back up. It looks like a beaute. A-

I would suggest this to anyone that wants that extra "WOW" factor. :) Paul from MonsterQuad is great to work with and I'd suggest his stuff to anyone!

i'm just curious here, can you see the timing mark without taking off the cover or is it just for show?

I like. ;)
You need some green or red oil like we use for racing.
Hard to see in this pic, but its a fluorescent green color.

I just thought i would add to this review that my clear window cam cover started to leak oil through one of the screws on the window but, monster quad stands behind their products.  they just told me to ship it in and they mailed me a brand new one priority mail back to me.  just wanted to add this company is great and have outstanding products and stand behind what they make unlike some other company's that have ridiculous warranty issues!

If I had that much laying in my pocket you can bet it would already be installed on my quad. Not fair to tease Krandall!  :)
