NW Raptor Rally 2012 May 17th, 18th, and 19th at Winchester Bay Oregon

Welcome to the NW Raptor Rally AT Winchester Bay Oregon May 17th 18th and 19th 2012.

2012 is off to a great start with a complete Turbo kit donated to this year’s rally by D7 Racing.
Dinner is at 6:15PM Saturday the 19th right after the Group photo at 5:30PM. The photo will be at the very north end of the dune’s Just look for my blue raptor and lots of other raptors around, also there will be information post at group site D
Campfire meet and greet Friday from 7PM to 8PM at Group site D. Several shops will help explain and answer any questions. The different shop owners will be introduced and after that you will be able to hang out with them and just talk about Raptors or? It will be a good time.
Show and Shine from 12PM to 1PM Staging at 11:30AM Saturday Located at group site D and prizes for different categories and a very nice Award to best of show. Awards will be given out at the raffle to the winners. Link below to to SHOW AND SHINE INFORMATION AND RULES.

Everyone should read all Federal, State, County, and city laws on and off the dunes as they will apply. This includes a REQUIRED OREGON SAFETY CARD that can take over 30 days to receive after completing the test. Please see more information at http://www.rideatvoregon.org/
List of rally rides
Family Fun Ride at 11AM Friday; this is the ride for the wife and kids. Will run along the flats to the trails next to the beach and back to camp. Easy fun ride.
Fun Ride Friday at 5 PM: 4 finger ride not for the unsure with tree shots at the end. Advanced riders.
Poker run Saturday at 9AM staging at 8:30 AM waver must be signed. more information to be posted but top 3 hands will win a prize.
Fun Ride Sunday 11 AM: Family Ride along the trails next to the beach then back on the flats along a ridge to a high view point then back to camp. Easy ride some small hills. This ride is dependant on turnout.
There will be a raffle at the dinner after the photo; you must show up for the photo to get a free raffle ticket and be at the dinner to win. We had some great prizes last year donated by many vendors and I think 2011 will be just as good.

2012 Donations
D7 Racing stepped up during 2011 rally and announced that they will be donating a full turbo kit to the 2012 NW Raptor Rally, the kit will be raffled off for $1 per ticket, $5 for 6 tickets or $20 for 25 tickets. Every cent will go back into supporting the NW Raptor rally. Also D7 will be donating other items as well. Thank you so much for this outstanding donation.

just reminded of the rate hike from $20 to $23 a night so total for single site is $79 for e nights.
Individual non-hookup sites are $23 per night plus a $10 reservation fee. Sites are booked for 3 nights and the $79 needs to be posted paid by April 15th to keep the spot.
Group sites A B and D will be $200 split by # in site or people sharing the group site.
Group Sites C will be $240 split with # in site or people sharing the group site.

Devious all the reservable sites are gone but there other options listed on the information post. It would be great to have you there as it is a very fun event. If you are ariving early there should be a few sites open at half moon.

Devious, check with Discovery Point campground, they should still have spots available and it's a 2 min ride to the main camping spot for the Rally. There will be a LOT of people there for the rally staying at DP, that's what I've been doing. The rental shop, and the BATHROOMS and SHOWERS at Discovery Point are all a nice thing to have real close to you there too IMO.
Tha main camping spot has hookups, but I don't think theres any showers ?

I didn't get one yet this year as I'm not sure if I'm going to make it or not. I don't remember the pricing off the top of my head, but it varies greatly.
They have 'cabins' (basically small mobile homes) they rent out, they have primative sites, full hookup sites, and sites of various sizes. Spots for the tent camper to the 70' RV/trailers, even Condos are available- so the pricing is pretty broad, but I think it's also pretty reasonable.

Should have all the info you need, including a park map if you want to choose something specific. And like I said, it's about a two minute ride to the main area, but a LOT of people will be camped at DP too. Also, it's direct access to the sand - no trailering, just unzip the tent, gas up and ride out of camp. :woot:

Think I saw that the FDL boys were going to make them again this year. I thought they did a good job last year, but haven't seen anything for this year yet myself.

So I know a few people have offered to help out with some of the food and I hope I have not missed adding your information to the list.
If everyone can take a few minutes and look over the list on the first page and let me know what I need to add or just something we may have run out of last year I will get it added to the list. I know the food went fast last year but I want to make sure everyone gets enough so let me know. The dinner is so big now we could never get it done without the help of many great people. So I just checked and Discovery Point has lots of space left from small 28' sites up to
82' sites. So if you need to reserve a spot for this years Raptor rally this is a link to there page. Nice place and close to Half Moon campground and next to the sand.

NW Raptor Rally 2011 SHOW & SHINE

The NW RAPTOR RALLY 2011 will be held at Winchester Bay this May 12,13 and 14 and we are going to again have as one of the events a SHOW & SHINE ! All of you planning to attend the Rally will be able to have some fun by entering your bike in this year`s SHOW & SHINE....or if you prefer....just come look at the bikes and enjoy the beauty of what some of our Raptor friends have done with their bikes.
The SHOW & SHINE event will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday at Group Site "D" and the winners announced at the Saturday evening dinner prior to the Raffle. There will again be 3 main classes judged for the SHOW & SHINE, with each class winner receiving a beautiful plaque and a $25.00 cash prize. We will also have a BEST IN SHOW winner that the judges feel is overall, the best bike in the judged classes. The winner of the BEST IN SHOW will receive a very nice trophy and a cash award of $100.00
This year we will also be adding an "Exhibitors" class for Raptors from our Sponsors or Members who wish to show their bikes, but would prefer to not be in the judged classes.....And to go along with the "Exhibitors" class, we have decided to add a PEOPLES CHOICE AWARD that all of you who attend the SHOW & SHINE will vote for the Raptor that you feel is the one that you like the best. The bikes that you can vote for will be any bikes entered in the judged prize classes or the "Exhibitors" class.....Just vote for the Raptor that you like the most ! The PEOPLES CHOICE AWARD will receive a nice plaque recognizing their efforts and their Raptor.
We have made some changes to the classes and rules for each, so before we finalize the classes, we wanted to publish the proposed classes and class rules for open comment.....Sooooo, please take a look at this years classes and rules and provide us with any constructive ideas or suggestions that you feel will make the classes better. After a week or so, we will finalize the classes and publish them here for you to see. We have tried to make the classes this year more open for the less modded machines, as we would like to have lots of participants for this fun event. Take a look and let us know your thoughts !
JUDGED CLASSES
#1 Class -STOCK/4 MOD.....Stock Frame, full brakes, shocks. Must be stock bore/stroke, no motor mods other than cam and Big 3.....which can includes pipes, controller and intake. No more than a +4 swingarm. No limits on cosmetic mods, tires or wheels. No lockups.
#2 Class -Duner/Mods Limited....Stock frame, full brakes shocks. No limits on motor mods, except must be stock stroke. No more than a +6 swingarm. No limits on cosmetic mods, tires or wheels. Lockups OK.
#3 Class -Duner/Mods Unlimited....Raptor based bike....Raptor Frame or Raptor based motor qualify....No limts on frame, motor, cosmetic mods, tires and wheels, or swingarms. Turbos OK.
#4 Exhibitors Class.....Totally open to any Raptor based machine from mild to wild ! This class will not be judged....but, will be open to the voting for the PEOPLES CHOICE AWARD !
Entry forms will be made avaiable on the forum as soon as the rules are finalized and the entry forms, as well as the ballots for the PEOPLES CHOICE AWARD will be avaliable at Group Site "D" any time up to the time of the event.
We`ll get some pictures up from last years SHOW & SHINE to remind you of the nice quads we had entered last year, as well as shots of last years` winners. okay april 1st but what if im not a member to RF? and the port is doing good just startedthe breakin cause of the weather but will be ready for RR and it was 300 for port and clean up with hone and cam install

To everyone that made it to the NW Raptor Rally Georginna and I thank you. Every year we are so happy to get such a great group of people together. From the old friends to the new we could not ask for better people and the outpouring of support. We hope that we see everyone again along with friends of friends next year. If any of you ride in the Oregon Dunes or plan to, this affects you. They are going to cut of 99% of all the trails in the Oregon Dunes Recreation area. Basically, will be open sand only.
