it worked in the no gravity app on the shuttle because it's still filled with air. which is needed to make it come back.. if you were on the moon and threw it, it would just go straight.

The inertia effect of the bommerang is the same in zero gravity, however the boomerang will not turn becuase there is no air to grab to create angled flight and cause it to return.
