Reverse problem
« on: April 12, 2009, 04:50:03 PM »
Well to keep it short A friend of mine gave his raptor to someone to do a rebuild and the guy took it apart and never finished it well two years later he gave me boxes of parts and asked me to put it together. I got the motor together and it runs but the reverse lock out does not work. I can just shift down to reverse without using the knob. Anyone know why.  Jim

there is a reverse adjustment, right above your shifter(left hand/bottom side, while sitting on bike). i had the same problem after i installed the dr.d reverse lever.

check manual for details.

Reverse cable adjustment is too tight. I rode my 660 like this for awhile.  Just don't forget you are in 1st, and shift down...
