I was racing a R1 turbo in a 660 frame with a mach-z 1000 snowmobile on the ice and he beat me, every time

were you on a studded track?

yup the track was studded. we were dag racing and he kicked the shit outta me, we were about even off the line but after that he kept pullin me even at 120.
good GERD thats cruisin!

Clutching plays a big part, snow sleds are made for speed  8)
Ever notice how the Ute's are real quick off the line,  torque & CVT trans.
Quads are detuned when comparing to sled performance so you know sleds fly.
The Mach Z was probably spinnin the track @ 75 mph.....gearing, studs,  rider/machine weight all play a role.

What's the sled weigh vs quad

I really have no clue what either weigh. He was on bare ice and my Dad was on snow also

Yeah, I wish they used a better picture for the shot.  They told me the reason was because that shot showed a front to back of all of the mods.  Here is a better picture of it.
