Title: Running problems
Post by: Livingmylife93 on April 23, 2009, 10:54:44 AM
My 89 Ford F-150..

It has like 3 gallons of 3 year old gas, 5 gallons of good gas, 1 bottle of complete fuel system treatment, and a new fuel filter.

What it does is anywhere after about 1/2 throttle it starts to bog out, and if i keep it floored (in neutral) it stays running and backfires through the intake.

This truck is a mystery to me, i know nothing about it, and the guy a bought it from knew nothing about it. it was sitting  on his farm for 2 years. The plugs could use a changing and so could the wires.. will that fix this issue?

Sometimes it will run great and not give me any problems, sometimes it does this or wont even stay running  :help:

I know you guys arent a truck forum but i havent had time to sign up on one yet, so ill see what you guys think. Thanks

did you check for any injector leaks?  I've had a similar issue like that
