% Throttle ? on PC5
« on: March 29, 2010, 07:12:36 PM »
I also reset the tps. I loosened my throttle blade screw and backed it all the way out till the tps went to .50v and no less. Screw the cold idle screw out 5 turns and reset tps to .68v. Start it up idle to low, left cold idle screw and screw in the idle screw on the butterfly to get 1700 rpms. Shut the motor and re-adjusted the tps to .68v.

I did a little playing tonight on the idle issue i have and found that the % throttle is at its lowest 2% bouncing into 3 sometimes. Is this normal or should it read 0% throttle idling.

Thats when I noticed the 2%throttle angle. So I just closed the shop and decide to post to all you wonderful gurus of 4 wheeler. Let me know if this is ok not. I did change some of % of fuel in the 2% column and it seemed to smooth out the idle some and the idle speed come up.

But my main ? is about the % of throttle idling. Thanks

No PC5 here. I'm pretty sure though on my PC3 when the rappy was at idle, it'd bounce around where the throttle position was at.

Thanks Guys
Ok next question.

If i'm trying to fine tune my idle do I work on the 0% column or the 2% column. My 0% column is adding 6% of fuel in it. Should I put it to 0's and work on the 2% giving and taking away fuel to dial it in. Map chart below.    Thanks Folks

mine reads 0% at idle with no fluctuation,my PC3 did fluctuate alot and had similar problems. So i called powercommander, they said something was malfunctioning inside and told me to ship it to them and they would fix or replace itf or free . for idling you want to adjust the 0% column I would remove all those number 6's and start at zero and work from there.
