+5mm stroker crank
« on: April 21, 2009, 06:35:35 PM »
well the crank is installed. I broke the rules for installation though. i tried freezing the crank and heating the case,no luck. So i used the flywheel and stator housing and pulled it in  worked flawless. the only thing i ran into was the threads bottomed out on thecrank before the bearing was all the way in. So i took 2 9/16 short sockets and set them under the flywheel to give me a bit more thread and in it went. just thought i would share this even though its not the normal way people are doing it but it worked

it took me about 15 mins. to get it in once i figured out what i was gonna do. I still gotta wait for the piston to finish it up and heavy duty clutch springs. depending on what i end up with for clearence after i clay it i may have the head shaved a little for more compression
