oil line leak, changing gaskets question
« on: February 09, 2009, 12:59:26 PM »
ok so my rappy is leaking a small amount of oil from the lil line illustrated in the oil pump drawings #20 at the top seal,  i bought new gaskets for it and believe that this will fix the problem i am also going to do an oil and filter change at the same time,  is there any precautianery(sp)    things to look out for or is it as simple as it looks?    just loosen up bolt remove old gaskets and replace with new gaskets and tighten bolt back up.

thanks a lot in advance for the help!

shouldn't be too difficult, just was looking in my manual. "oil delivery pipe"

Has a nut, gasket, and copper washer. Try not putting all the oil in, just in case it is still leaking. Run for a little bit, not alot. If not leaking throw the rest in.

Just make sure all surfaces are clean when reinstalling everything and don't overtighten on the copper washer.
