Did it come out? I dont know many nerd websites that carry that kind of news

Is the Falcon modular? Like can I add to it later on and upgrade it? I didn't understand that before

sorry, I missed your response...

Yes, I'm fairly certain the Falcon laptops are modular. I'll find out for sure tonight.

K, I'd have to call them to 100% verify BUT.. From my research last night.. They are modular.. the catch....

You can't just go to the store and buy a laptop graphics card, you'd have to work with whoever made / built the laptop.. Alienware is the same way. You can replace them. But you either have to buy new updated cards from them directly and pay out the ass or find ones on ebay.

I know you're lookin for portability.. My suggestion would be.... take the $4g spending limit... buy a solid decent laptop for $1500 and you'll be able to play BF3 no problem.. And then take the other $2500 and put it into a desktop/tower. With that you'd have top of the line gear and you can EASILY upgrade everything.

Basically the deal here is. You buy it from one place and they assrape you on some ridiculous laptop. Basically from that point in time you are their bitch and their bitch only. They dont want to share you with others, so you have to come back to them, no lube, if you want to upgrade the laptop.

Why would I have to go through the company? With the firmware and proper PCI slot I should be able to install any card I want. What do they have that ties my hands from doing it myself?

Not on a laptop. You can't just go out and buy an aftermarket vid card for your laptop.

Do they have to solder in the card or something?

No, they don't solder it in, it's still removable. But I've never seen a computer store like Fry's, NewEgg, or any other computer store sell aftermarket graphics cards for laptops.
