Alkire 193 Practice XC Atv
« on: September 05, 2011, 04:13:09 AM »
So I went ahead and purchased another 700r. This one is a 2006 with a few small goodies already. It is being shipped to Preddy08 for a little bit of TLC. Just the bearings. cylinder recoat maybe my +5 HR crank and a filter/ exhaust kit. Just a Big 3 727 type quad. Waiting to hear back from BOSS Noss on whether it can handle a shot of funny gas for when im losing to 450's on the trails near my house. Always wanted to have a "Go Baby, Go!" button. I mainly just have to keep the suspension and handling the same. But this will be my practice play atv.

looks like a nice bike. ive ridden some 450's with the twin stick dampeners and hated it. there is no input through the steering and almost got me hurt in the sand.

Yea, lots of the things on it will just be sold. If it needs to mirror my other quads handling then the suspension, damper, wheels, tires, nerfs and stem need to go. Probably a few other things too....

Alkire, I've got the Boss Noss setup you need if thats what you want. Has a 30 shot and a 50 shot, let me know. I'll ship it straight to Preddy.

I dont know what the stock motor can handle, or what I have to mod to make it work. Im waiting to see what the BOSS says. Why do you have so much nitrous Gunny?

Shut it Pat  :P

Better start working, those parts will be for sale in a month tops

From what i've herd from Troy, a stock raptor will handle a 25 shot (with clutch mods) for years.
Just a little 81hp trail bike.

I was thinking clutch. Thanks Tory and Shawn

I want to see what the Boss will say about what it takes to handle a 30 shot. Then make a choice on what size shot to give it.

The Boss Noss guys got in touch and told me exactly what Preddy did. Minus the clutch part....but it makes complete sense to upgrade the clutch.

I was also told by Jeremy that with a piston upgrade I could be looking at a 30 shot....tempting

Practice/ play quad. Not the actual racer. And sure, why not?

Gunny, what is going on with that 30 shot? Does it have any special settings? According to the Boss, I just need to upgrade clutch and piston along with ceramic coating the piston to take the beating.
