3rd Annual Little Sahara Raptor Rally
Where: Waynoka Oklahoma
When: September 30th - October 2nd
Who: EVERYBODY!!!!
The first year we had 25+ people there, was a blast. The second year we had over 100+ people there and was a total blast. We will have give-aways for attending riders and group cookouts on at least on of the days of the rally. Last year we had a cookout Friday lunch, dinner and Saturday breakfast, dinner. Hoping to do the same this year. Dyno pulls will be $50 and Tunes will be $65. We are getting the private campgrounds on the south side entrance. RSVP will be 50% off of regular rates.
SHIRTS
The shirts are going to be $15 a piece this year and can only be picked up at the Rally. There will be extra shirts (limited) for those of you that didn't get your ordered in time. Shirt design will be up by the Aug 23rd.

You can reserve one of two ways. First by the link above and following the direction. Second, by calling 580-824-3681 or 580-825-0569. When reserving your campsite enter the word "RaptorSource" next to your first name or tell the person you make reservations with over the phone.
The website will only let you reserve a minimum of 4 nites, so I recommend you call to make sure everything is correct.
If you have any questions, please send me a PM or ask in this thread..... We had an great time last year and this year will be even better.

Ideally I'd like to get there the 28th or 29th, but that might be dependent on if I have anyone to ride down with.
People normally show up on the Thursday and stay until Sunday morning.

Im currently working about 40 minutes from LS.. Small town called Oakwood.. I will try like hell to make it this year.. I promise.. I do however want to schedule a weekend in the spring too.. probably late march, early april? I dont get any vacation.. but i do work 2 weeks out and 2 weeks in now.. lol

I was going to buy a set of HID's and maybe a new lighted whip for LS....now I have to spend that money on metal underpants.

I really like the lighted whips, but seen to o many break after a ride or two

Mine did, but it was my own fault. Didn't keep it tight in the quick release and the threads stripped. Couldn't get it out of the quick release so I removed both from the bike and tried to extract it manually, broke off the threaded bottom end of the flag into the quick release.
The safeglow whip was very, very bright and I was glad to have it when peels broke down. I may go a different direction, but I still think I will want to get another.

So....my kids got a super cheesy glowing LED sword from a county fair. like 5 bucks for 2. ABout 3 feet long. It is about 15 3mm led's soldered in series....I think. They fought too hard with them, and only about 3 led's lit up. :lol:

So i took it apart...super easy. resolder two spots. Runs on 3 AA's. Ill STretch it out to about 5 feet.

What kind of HID's? Conversion or Trailtech type? Guess it doesn't really matter, either work really good. Gunz has the conversion, I have the SCMR16's and both are bright.

How do these work? Judging from the pics from the 2010 thread do we all camp in a common area and eat together? Besides camping and riding gear what all do we need to bring? Sorry for all the questions, I may try and make this one. We usually go down there every Thanksgiving but I doubt we will be doing it this year.

yep, we all camp together, have big meals, big group photo...and a group ride...even a giveaway. The group night ride was pretty sweet with 20 plus quads flying through the trails, aside from my busted sprocket in the middle of nowhere. :lol: Bring something to sleep in, snacks...and a raptor of course. lol
as it gets closer, the thread will have more hard plans. and list of items needed for you to choose from should you decide to contribute. look at one of the old rally threads. The first post will be updated regularly with the list.

Wished you could've came peels. It was really nice out and sand wasn't all that bad, the only thing that sucked was I didn't get off work till 3 in the afternoon to go then I had to turn around at 8:30 and go back to bale hay :cry:. Bu all in all it was a good ride with a couple friends!

IMHO, I always go for 83 first because it has the tree's. Or 59 thru 76 are good size spots. Did most the guys last time stay up on the hill behind the shop last time? those are huge spots.
Were the sites full last year? I've never been when it wasn't a special occasion and it wasn’t full. We're going in two weeks and still no spots taken yet online.

I don't recall the spot numbers we stayed in but yes it was on the hill behind the shop. They were on the right hand side and down the middle if you are looking towards the dunes.

FYI: I tried calling Gail and didn't have any luck. So I booked online (per instructions) and my receipt said $120. So I tried calling Lance and didn't have any luck there either. I just got my confirmation email saying payment complete, so I checked my bank and BAM, pending charge is $60. Lance said he just forgot to change the price on the receipt before sending it. WOOT WOOT

I tried calling all the #s aswell and found out they arent open on monday-tuesday it seems like, so I tried back today and got through with Lance's number 580-824-0569 but a lady answered the phone.

I tried calling all the #s aswell and found out they arent open on monday-tuesday it seems like, so I tried back today and got through with Lance's number 580-824-0569 but a lady answered the phone.
I called that number many times.. no luck at all
they billed my card the full 120 :(

I called a ton yesterday and monday with no luck, could have sworn i heard something in the voice mail message about Wednesday :blah:. Sure enough called today and they picked right up. The confirmation says 120 but the charge should be $60.

Did the same thing last year if you booked online, they adjusted it without me having to do anything extra, I just had gunny's name or raptorsource or something in the title when I registered online. If you are concerned and can't get through on the phone just send them an email, I believe there is a contact on their website.

I have to delete my name from this list also...work is a little too hectic right now to take any vacation time. I will be in Kentucky the week before the rally, and Chicago the week after, so trying to sneak a dune trip in the middle just won't work. Got the Banshee fired up today. Not sure what the heck was wrong the other day but today it fired up first kick, no choke and idled perfect! Was even able to start it on the lift with a 2x6 (used it to push on the kick starter).

Losing the "Yamaha" tomorrow.
The point of the Blue and Yellow is to go kinda old school/vintage/retro. Yamaha colors started out with yellow and blue, now they are everything. I'll do a different color shirt and design every year. 1st year we did black w/yellow lettering and white w/blue lettering. Last year we did Grey w/white lettering.

No point in having the yamaha we all know we own them and if someone doesnt know a raptor is yamaha then it sucks for them. I'd rather have a date or year in its place. Maybe keep the yamaha logo if you want something yamaha on it but yamaha in big letters is kinda meh.

There was a set for a Polaris here in Springfield, if he pays for them I can bring them, we'll be down on Thursday.
I checked out the bolt pattern and it looks like the front AND rear are both 4 x 156.

He might be better off to see if a set of hubs off another year Polaris will fit his axle cause the other Prdators are 4 x 110 and thats a Honda/Suzuki/Kawasaki bolt pattern.

Either way I can haul them down there if he needs me to.

There was a set for a Polaris here in Springfield, if he pays for them I can bring them, we'll be down on Thursday.
I checked out the bolt pattern and it looks like the front AND rear are both 4 x 156.
Polaris Predator 500 '03

Rear 10x8 4/156 3+5
He might be better off to see if a set of hubs off another year Polaris will fit his axle cause the other Prdators are 4 x 110 and thats a Honda/Suzuki/Kawasaki bolt pattern.
He could also contact the people at Little Sahara and see if they rent paddles on those wheels...
Either way I can haul them down there if he needs me to.
