Title: should this have happened? added pics of the riding spot and some other stuff
Post by: exentix on June 15, 2008, 08:48:23 AM
yesterday while we were riding, we had some drag races. i didnt expect to win any lol, i was riding with devans 700, 2 preddys, 3 kfx 700s, a ds 650, and a 400z... but when i dragged against the one preddy (piped and jetted), it was around a 300ft drag, i lost by about 1 length? is this normal? we both did 2nd gear launches. my 350 has an hmf, k&n and jets. i think the only thing the preddy has is an exhaust and jets, not sure though.

thats why I said you need an airbox lid. You can cut the back half off so you still have the front two clips holding the lid down, and drill holes in the front half, thats what I did

Thats what i would do if i didnt want a full air box.. Personally i would take a couple zip ties and go all the way around the box with them and get them above the filter real tight.  a little ... rigged but it would work

i think im just gonna leave the lid off, and screw the filter to the box

looks like a fun riding spot. but im gonna tell you straight up, if your 350 kept up with a preddy that thing must have been running on like 1 cam or some shit or there was some major rider error on his part.

i ride with a preddy that is - an airbox and rejetted and i consistently beat him by one length. so i think your race was very abnormal.

PS: looks like your the little man of the group. thats the way it is for me, but the funny thing is i kick everyones asses. my preddy buddy is 25.

Great pics!

Nice airfilter fix!

Maddog used a piece of wood to hold his header in place at Silverlake last year.

lol we had to pretty much tear the one preddy apart, his tailpipe fell off, his nerf bars were about to, and the one header had over an inch of play in it haha... and you have to remove the plastics to work on them, so that took a while too, we didnt have too many tools haha

That Predator needs a tune if it was even close.  My buddies rips, and is dead even with a stock 700.

Who new Fuji could build more than camera film ???
