The law affects everyone.  But as Jason stated, there isn't much for enforcement....and we have an insider 8)

Also I'm locking down these dates.

I'm gonna try and get Adam @ motoadventure to come up there with us.  There is no dyno on site, but I have no doubts that adam can square you away if your tune is off.

for those who want to do some dirt riding too, there are miles and miles of trails there as well, so bringing dirt tires along also isn't a bad idea.

I will post more details soon.

Here is one that I have had for awhile.  Pretty generic, but should give you a good idea.

Here is a video of what to expect if we were going up in August, in June when we go, all of the climbs here will be 5-20 foot cliffs to negoitate before you climb the hill.

North sand hills OHV area, aka Walden sand dunes, and Colorado for that matter, has adopted the 96db law that some other states have.  The only db metering devices that they have to test us with is the Type 2 tester that is accurate supposedly to + or - 2 db.  I have had my Barkers tested up in Walden 3 times.  The results were, 101, 99, and 98db.  I have been up there on non holiday weekends, and have not been checked so far.  Holiday weekends they came through every camp checking for spark arrestors, and OHV stickers.  I did have one of them ask me to be tested, and I asked the guy to see his metering device first.  Woulden't you know it, his calibration sticker was overdue.  I just simply said, "If your metering device is not calibrated and certified, there is no reason for you to test me".  The guy just walked away from me with no further issues.  Just wanted to give all of you the heads up on the bull$hit laws that are now in place here.  I highly doubt that it will be an issue on an off holiday weekend, but I would be pissed off if I drove all the way in from out of state only to be ticketed for something that I had no clue about.  Hope this helps.  Look forward to seing all of you there.  Here is a link to the new laws.  DD

So we just tell them our bikes are modified for Closed circuit courses, and put our spark arrestors on. If all else fails one of you guys can strip down and streak through the camps leading the park ranger on a high streak chase!
Sticks and stones may break my bones but whips and chains excite me! >:D

I have to buy a Razr , just to go on this rally. Then I have to haul it, and I have to get my truck......the things I do for a Rally. Everyone better start signing up!

I find that it might end up at a few Rally's without my say.

What do you think? RAZR XP 900? Sticker price is bulls***, but maybe I can get one used later this year for 14 or 13.5. If I can stick it at your place for my Rally trips until I get back home that would be great!
