I wanted to do this since I got the exhaust. I loved the CNC'd end caps and didnt want to paint them when I did the cans, as I Love the machined look. So... I decided a bit of black would finish up the system well.
I tried taping the lines first then painting but that didnt work that well (really hard to line up the masking tape with the line in the metal). So I just did these 100% free hand. I am not the "artsy" type nor do I have all that much patience but i managed to finish both tonight.
They are still drying so there area few little spots to touch up and remove where I went over a tad.
I like how they turned out so thought I would throw some pics on here

O...and this Pic is for Sand84... This is as good as your going to get.
38 Double D's are hard to capture in such a small picture :)

If anyone wants to copy me feel free... Its really not 100% as hard as it looks (not easy..but not hard). There is ONE stipulation if you paint your...you have to put the end caps on your girlfriends boobs - Madonna style
Let's see em' on the quad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ya its over at Jakes (DabigbratJ). But I will get them on and snap pics as soon as I can.
THATS AWESOME!!! Great idea!! YEah get some pics of them on the quad!!
Damnit! I hate my f'in company. Every picture is blocked!
I just uploaded the pics straight to the forum (in the OTHER thread...lol). Should be able to see them if they are on the actual site?
Nice work. Barker nips!

Very nice work.
Thanks for the offer Jake but i need to get new stainless screws for them as I stripped a few out trying to get them out originally. I plan to use loc-tite on them so i know if i re-use the same screws they will never come out again!
And lol @ the karma. I get all the karma I need

What he said!!! ^^^^^^^^
Thanks I really do love them...
And the end caps are just..."ok" :)
Hey... The tips look freakin great... What is the best way to remove the screen under the tips... Is that the spark arrestor? Thanks....
Barkers do not come with spark arrestors (unless you buy/install them seperately).
So there is nothing behind the tips but the inside of the can.
Thanks for the comment :)
My Barkers have a dome shaped screen under the tip... It doesn't appear to be anything that would resist flow at all, but I just wanted to make sure....
Your barkers have spark arrestors then.
They come out very easily...just unbolt the 3 end cap bolts and it will come off with the end cap.
PICS ON QUAD??? Cant wait to see it still!

Yeah what he said. Need pics with them on the quad.......
Sorry to dissapoint...but didnt get over to my quad tonight. I will be picking it up Thursday night so I will be sure to take pics then for you guys.
Looks great. What kind of paint did you use?
For uniformity (not that it matters on something so small) I used the same exhaust paint I did the entire exhaust with. I figured it would only make sense to use a semi-gloss paint (like the exhaust) so instead of buying more I just used the little bit I had left.
Thanks for the comment :)
should make the exhaust look even better

S-L-A-C-K-E-R-!-!-!-!
mike came out today and picked up the quad and lets say it was kinda a bitch will all the ice we got sure he will get pics soon
Yup got it back safe and sound (despite all the damn ice!).
One thing that pissed me off.. I wrapped the whole quad in a painting drop-cloth (its actually thick plastic) and a bit of it was whipping around due to the wind hitting it at 70mph. When I got back I saw my brand new (just installed..lol) pro armor black grab bar is all chewed up from that damn plastic!
O well... i didnt build it to be a show quad, I built it to run!

Sorry the pics suck. I used flash and everything looks like ASS cuz its dirty. So this is flash off with me being Captain Shakes. I will post up some good pics once I get everything 100% done (seat cover, black ITP bajas and a few other nick nacks to throw on). Then as soon as we get a warm day I iwll wash it up for some pics.
Looks good man. Good job.
THat looks sweet! Cant wait to see it done!
That looks killer with the black cans.
Thanks guys! Means a lot. I have spent a lot of time/money/effort into getting this beast to perform/look how I want and it seems to be never-ending!
I think we are going to work on the quads a bit tomorrow. Pending if I get the trail tech hooked up properly I will put the plastics back on and throw the ITP baja's & razr's on.
Looks awesome dude!!!
